Here’s a quick tip for how to prepare your wood shapes for paint or stain! A little alcohol swab makes it easy to clean the smoke residue from your wood pieces. I simply rub the alcohol swab firmly along the surface of the wood and let it dry (which only take a minute). This will give you a nice clean surface and prevent paint color issues. Happy making!
PS. I personally buy alcohol swabs in bulk from Sams Club, but they are available just about everywhere!
